Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self -Bhagavad Gita St Joseph's School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2024. The chief guest of the day was Ms. Siya Duseja a certified pranayama, prenatal Yoga instructor, and Chakras Healing Practitioner. At St Joseph's the students are taught yoga with the awareness of its many health benefits, which support both mental and physical well-being, making it a holistic practice. Around two hundred students wholeheartedly embraced the ancient practice of yoga, showcasing a variety of yoga asanas like Surya Namaskara, Dhaurasana, Gomukhasana, Matsyasana, Tree pose, and Sarvang asana. With focused expressions and steady hands reaching for the sky, they stood tall like warriors. Their breaths synchronized, creating a serene rhythm. Amidst the quietude, they discovered the power of mindfulness-the ability to find stillness within movement. The Yoga Day celebration drew to a close with hearts full of peace and bodies aligned, carrying the essence of unity and wellness into our lives.
