"Empowered by the Spirit: Students Embrace Faith and Learning at the Inaugural Mass"
The inaugural Mass for students in classes 6 to 12 was celebrated on June 7, 2024, centered around the theme: "Holy Spirit beside us, within us, and upon us." The main celebrant was Fr. Vishal Pinto, Finance Officer of SJII, and the concelebrant was Fr. Royston Pinto, Finance Officer of SJS CBSE. During the Mass, Fr. Vishal prayed for the students, invoking a spirit of gratitude and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In his sermon, Fr. Vishal emphasized the importance of prayer and hard work, urging the students to "pray as if everything depends on God and work as if everything depends on you." He imparted three guiding principles: to give God a prominent place in their lives, to focus diligently on their studies, and to recognize and respect God's presence in their family, teachers, and friends while avoiding discrimination.
The Mass concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the blessings of the Almighty, leaving the students spiritually enriched and inspired.
