"A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning." - Brad Henry
On September 11, 2024, our school celebrated Teacher's Day with great enthusiasm. The students from classes 9 to 12 took on the roles and responsibilities to organize the event. A common celebration was held in the SJIPS auditorium, starting with a special assembly conducted by the students. The event began with a prayer and a heartfelt tribute to the great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The students organized a vibrant cultural program, which included dance performances, a band presentation, and a lively "mad ad" show. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Leo Lobo, founder and CEO of Exordia. In his inspiring address, Mr. Lobo spoke about the profound role of teachers in shaping the lives of students and emphasized the crucial support teachers provide to help students reach their full potential.
Teachers who had completed their ten-year milestone at the school were honored for their dedication and service. Additionally, teachers who had won in the games organized by the PTA were also awarded.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Rohan D'Almeida, then addressed the gathering, expressing deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of the teachers in fostering the all-round development of every student. The event left the teachers with a renewed sense of pride and joy in their noble profession, celebrating the meaningful journey of being a teacher.
