St Joseph's School CBSE celebrated Children's day on 14, November with great excitement and enthusiasm. The event was celebrated virtually due to the pandemic restrictions.
The online event was conceptualized and coordinated by the teachers under the guidance of Fr Principal. The programme commenced with a soothing prayer song followed by the display of images and videos of the activities done & shared by the students as they participated in various age appropriate online competitions conducted by the school on the occassion of Children's Day.
The significance of the day was also highlighted by the teachers. Teachers organized and enacted a short, humorous & meaningful skit portraying the importance of school life and friendship. The play emphasized the difference in the lives of children during the pandemic and post pandemic time. The Members of the PTA too entertained the students by expressing their love through music.
Principal Rev. Fr. Rohan D' Almeida, in his address reminded the students that the day commemorated the birthday of India’s first prime minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who loved children. Father Principal also wished the students on their special day.
The event went on smoothly and was well appreciated by all.
