SCIPLORE the annual science exhibition aimed to create interest in science and to bring out scientific talents of students was conducted on 28 August, 2021. We did have an online event last year as welldue to the ongoing pandemic, Sciplore was hosted in a unique way.
A virtual Science exhibition and webinar was organised on an informative and interesting Theme "The Science of Happiness, Health and well-being during Covid-19. The planning of the event was headed by the co-ordinators,Ms Selvi and Ms Anusha along with a team of energetic and talented science teachers.Various competitions were organised for the students from class 1 to 10. Each class was given a topic related to science keeping in mind the availability of items at home, students safety, and were asked to conduct experiments and models under the parent's guidance. A short time bound video was shot where the students were explaining about their experiments and models.The budding scientists of our school presented many creative and marvellous ideas as exhibits. A number of stills and workingmodels were displayed.A panel of judges were assigned to judge the various competition and videos of the experiments from class 1 to 10
Our Principal Rev.Fr Rohan D' Almeida SJ addressed the gathering with his wonderful and inspiring words for the young scientists and welcomed the Chief Guest. The Guest speaker of the webinar was Mr. Thillai Chidambaram, B.Sc in Zoology, Diploma in Bio technology from Madurai Kamaraj University, a lead in Data Science and Data Engineering team, Bayer Crop Science Bengaluru, shared his insights on the theme.
The webinar was attended by students, parents, teachers and well-wishers. The event was well appreciated by everyone.
