Ms. Jennifer Maria Andrews was selected as one of the Global Schools Advocate, by Global Schools, an initiative of the SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network) in support of UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030 road-map. Out of 2,000 applicants from 100+ countries, they were pleased to welcome Ms. Andrews on board. She is one of the educators selected out of 300 shortlisted educators from 80 countries, responsible for localizing and integrating global citizenship, sustainability, and 21stcentury skills into school communities.
Ms Vijayarani was awarded Best
Teacher Award by V Simplify
Charitable Trust. She has also
contributed lyrical poems for the
famous book “Shiva Mecchida
Hoo” and has been awarded a
Certificate of Appreciation for her

The Management takes immense pleasure to inform you that SJS has been awarded by Global Summit Expo Awards 2020 which promotes excellence. Global Education Skills MSME and Entrepreneurship Virtual Summit 2020 was held on 12th August 2020. The main focus was “Making Education Relevant”. GESS 2020 Leadership Award is aimed at rewarding schools and higher education institutions for their innovation and achievement. Individuals will be rewarded for their outstanding contribution to the education and skill development sector. The summit received 1036 applications pan India. Applicants were from major educational institutions and Leading corporate companies. There were 300 finalists and only 40 applicants won the awards. The parameters for selection were the overall student’s development, the academic excellence, pedagogical performance, institute reputation, teacher competency and value for money.
While education today is mostly about the system, content and mastery; education in the future will be about the learner, process and skills. With the aim of promoting holistic development of the individual person, our school caters to a wide range of extra-curricular activities, reflecting their particular interests, goals and values. This includes a shift from individual learning to collaborative learning and from passive to active learning. The award was presented by the Governor of Karnataka, Sri Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on 27 August 2017. We express our heartfelt gratitude to you parents, for casting your valuable votes which enabled us to win this prestigious award.
We are pleased to announce that our school has been inducted into the Parikrma Address School Health Hall of fame for
Sirigannada Prakashana of Chitradurga had conducted Kannada Prathiba Examination on 21 November 2016. 269 Students of SJIPS participated and the answer scripts were sent for evaluation to the Sirigannada Publication Community Centre. 10 Students of SJIPS have emerged as rank holders of State Level and 15 others have bagged ranks at District Level. In recognition of this achievement SJIPS was declared and honored as the “Best School” at the State Level. Rev. Fr Sunith Prabhu SJ, the Director of St Joseph’s Indian Composite PU College was the Chief Guest and distributed the prices. He handed over the honorary award to the Principal Rev. Fr. Sunil Fernandes. Ms Jyothi Priya and Margaret Rita were awarded the best co-ordinators award. Ms Vijayarani has been given the Kannada Nidhi Award.
