St Joseph's School organised the Capacity Building Programme for Life Skills (Basic) on 28th September 2024, as part of ongoing training for teachers. There were over 60 participants from our school as well as from Widia Poornaprajna School. The resource persons were Ms Shyamashree Chatterjee, Principal of BGS International Residential School, K Gollahalli, Bengaluru and Ms Leelavathi KP, Educator and currently the Subject Coordinator for History and Political Science at Deens Academy, Gunjur. The CBP aimed at promoting overall well-being of the students and the teacher's role in bringing about a positive change in the behaviour management of students. The need for equipping teachers to deal with Social-Interpersonal skills, Emotional skills and Cognitive or Thinking skills was evident in the CBP. The day was filled with activities, role play, simulations, exchange of ideas and expertise with appropriate examples formed the crux of the CBP. The teachers were excited to apply the valuable lessons learnt to make classrooms even more dynamic and engaging.
