Career Guidance for class 11 and 12 Science students

June 23, 2025

An informative session was held at our school to guide students on various competitive exams like KCET, JEE, NEET, and more. It helped students understand their options after Class 12. The session began with details about KCET, a state-level exam with no negative marking, where a score above 160 is considered excellent. COMEDK was introduced as a backup, focused on CBSE portions and useful for engineering courses. Courses like B.Pharma and B.Sc. Agriculture were explained, where admissions are based on board and entrance scores. NDA was discussed next, highlighting its marking system and SSB requirements. Other exams covered included BNYS (a 5-year medical course), NATA (for architecture), and JEE Mains, known for its difficulty and subject split. The speaker also spoke about IIIT Hyderabad, where a 99% board score is required, and NEET, with 720 total marks and a qualifying score of 127. The session concluded with a motivational story, inspiring students to give their best. It was conducted by Giraffe Coaching Center.
