Our school recently hosted the Aikyam inter-religious prayer service, a meaningful event that brought together students and faculty from diverse backgrounds to promote unity, harmony, and mutual respect. The ceremony began with a captivating prayer dance performance, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by dignitaries. The recitation of sacred verses from various holy books was a poignant moment, where students presented different symbols of major religions in India. The translations that followed allowed everyone to understand and appreciate the significance of these scriptures, fostering a sense of unity and shared humanity. A presentation on "Classroom of Life" showcased students doing good deeds together, irrespective of their religious backgrounds. A thought-provoking skit on the walls that divide us and the values that unite us was a highlight of the event. Chief Guest Fr Vivian Juan Mariaraj, Youth Director, Archdiocese of Bangalore emphasized the importance of unity in diversity and the role of individual faiths in promoting peace. Our Principal, Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, highlighted the need for mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation among people of different faiths and cultures. The Aikyam inter-religious prayer service was a resounding success, promoting unity, harmony, and mutual respect among the participants. The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of these values in our increasingly diverse and complex world.
